Cunningham Security is seeking a skilled, licensed electrician who wants to expand beyond traditional electrical work and gain hands-on experience with advanced fire alarm systems, integrated security platforms, access control technology, and low-voltage infrastructure.

🔧 What You’ll Be Working On

In this role, you’ll support both residential and commercial installation projects while working alongside experienced security and fire systems professionals.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Installing and servicing electrical and low-voltage systems
  • Running, terminating, and testing wiring for:
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Security systems
    • Access control systems
    • Smart building infrastructure
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical/system issues
  • Completing upgrades, retrofits, and new system installations
  • Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Ensuring work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local code requirements
  • Maintaining safe, clean, and organized job sites
  • Communicating professionally with customers and internal teams

✅ What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Active Maine Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • 3+ years of electrical installation experience
  • Strong understanding of NEC standards and code compliance
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs when necessary

  • Fire alarm systems
  • Low-voltage wiring

  • Fire alarm panel integration and troubleshooting
